If you’re looking to buy a headset for the XBOX 360 then you must be wondering what is the best XBOX 360 headset?

What are the factors to the best headset?
What do you want out of your headphones?

Wireless:
These Turtle Beach Headphones have dual band wireless to eliminate wireless router interference. You’ll be able to move freely about without the mess of long wires strung across your living room.

Built in mic:
With a built in mic so that you can chat with your XBOX Live friends. Otherwise what’s the point of a headset?

Surround Sound:
Don’t be fooled by cheaper headphones that say “stereo sound”. I have a pair and you can’t tell where anything is coming from on the Battlefield.

Dolby Digital:
True Dolby Digital Surround Sound! Meaning when you hear foot steps, monsters, gun shots, etc, you know exactly which direction they are coming from. It makes a huge difference in game play.
And not only game play! It works great for watching movies, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, HBO Go or whatever you use. True surround sound, Dolby Digital on all fronts.

Sound Quality:
Crystal clear high definition surround sound. It’s needed. For games and movies.

Sturdiness:
These sure don’t feel cheap. I think they are going to last a long while. My original Turtle Beaches are still holding strong many years later.

Comfort:
I can game for hours with these things on.

Price:
Why pay more? I found a great deal on Amazon for these bad boys. You can also shop around on there, read reviews and compare models but these are the best bang for the buck.

Conlusion:
After trying several wireless surround sound headsets and asking friends who have various models and reading countless reviews it turns out the best wireless headset for the XBOX 360 is the Turtle Beach Ear Force X42 for many reasons. I love these headphones.

They are true Dolby Digital and use optical output.
They are wireless and offer 2 channel frequencies so that you can avoid wireless interference.

What is Windows 8?
Windows 8 is the newest released Operating System from Microsoft Corporation. Windows 8 is supposed to replace Windows 7(which replaced Windows XP) and make it possible to sync multiple devices such as a desktop, laptop, tablet and a smartphone with one customized user experience across all devices.

What you should know about Windows 8.
It is the latest and greatest so it may not be compatible with all of your hardware, drivers and software. You may need to do research on your PC components before upgrading.
Many companies are still behind when it comes to new driver release and updates for Microsoft Windows 8 so you may run into incompatibility issues with certain hardware and software. Of course in time this will improve like it does with all new OS releases.

Can I download Windows 8?
Yes, you can get an upgrade disc direct from Microsoft. They even a special right now where you can buy the full disc from Microsoft on Amazon.

Why shouldn’t I upgrade to Windows 8?
One thing many users have complained about with Windows 8 is that you lose the Start Menu and look and feel of Windows that you’re used to. No more task bar either. The new look is dubbed “Metro” however due to a trademark issue in Europe Microsoft is trying to stray away from that name.
If you really wants your Start Menu and Desktop back then there are a few programs out there that allow you to return to the old Desktop look. The only problem with this is you lose the live tile functionality of Windows 8. The new live tiles update and change as you get new emails and status updates on social networking sites. They are pretty much like widgets and can show you news feeds, the weather, etc.

windows 8 smartphone

Another problem with Metro is that if your internet is down or you don’t have an internet connection you can not download and run apps. Because it is mostly cloud based this could be a huge problem with internet outages or people in an area that does not offer a broadband connection. Metro’s start tiles do not have a lot of functionality without an internet connection.

You can watch this animated review to see some frustrations.

Is Windows 8 for me?
Windows 8 is ultimately designed for Touch Screens, Smart Phones and Tablets so if you don’t have either of these and are already running Windows 7 you probably won’t want to upgrade. Windows 7 is a great Operating System and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

windows 8 start menu

Why would I want Windows 8?
Windows 8 does start up and shut down faster if you can even figure out how to do that without a start menu. But who turns off their computer anyway?
So it’s faster, new interface, syncs between devices, gets you ready for the next generation of PC computing and looks and feels like a mobile phone or tablet.
I personally don’t need any of that and won’t be using Windows 8 unless I am forced to at work.

What is a Windows 8 cloud?
With the Windows 8 cloud based login from your Microsoft Passport(Hotmail or Outlook.com) you can have it set up to carry your settings across all Windows 8 machines which can save you time in the future. It is handy to see your personalized desktop wherever you log on. Sort of like a roaming profile.

Windows 8 Minimum Requirements.
Here are the specs provided by Microsoft however I hear you need much more RAM for smooth performance.

With the release of Windows 7 taking a screen shot just got a whole lot easier.

With the “Snipping Tool” you can now easily take a screenshot and save it or email it with a few clicks.
No more pressing Print Screen, opening MS Paint, Photoshop or whatever you prefer, pasting it in and cropping it.
You can do it all in just a few simple steps.
screenshot tool

1) To open the Snipping Tool go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories and you will find it in there.
I suggest right clicking on the icon and selecting Pin To Start Menu so that it is easily accessible in the future.

2) From there you can simply drag a square around what you would like to screenshot or you can use some custom options. To access the options click on the New Menu.

Rectangular snip. Draw a custom and precise line by dragging the cursor around an area to form a rectangle or square.
Window Snip. Capture the current window or dialog box in a snip.
Full-screen snip. Capture the entire screen, such as desktop background.

3) Add annotations or highlight if you would like to.

A hint with the good old “prt scr” button. If you only want to capture a screenshot of the current window and not your entire desktop is you can hold the alt key while pressing prt scrn.

If you’re on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen that Instagram now as the right to sell your photos and not give you any credit. This is not how the new Instagram privacy rules are.

This is utter BS and simply another Facebook Zombie Share Attack. People see something, freak out and hit share without any research or investigation which makes them look pretty foolish.

The truth is Facebook acquired Instagram for about 1 billion dollars and now needs a source of income from it. How might you ask?
Well just like on Facebook when you see in your feed something like “so and so likes Amazon.com” it can say so and so followed whoever and businesses can pay to promote post.
It’s simply ad revenue and promotion and the same business module that Facebook uses when advertising to you.

This is right from the Instagram Privacy statement

like the actions you take (eg, following the account) and your profile photo — might show up if you are following this business.

Instagram themselves have come out with a statement verifying you the user will always have full rights to your photos and they do not intend on selling anything of yours.
Read the full statement here.

You can view all of my amazing Instagram photos here (as long as you don’t sell them!).

Here are a few of my Instagram photos.

And if you’re worried about Facebook Privacy you may want to read this.
But if you’re really concerned about new privacy statements then you’re going to have to get off the internet. luckily we’re still in an day and age where a full on community outcry will get a response from the company. However our data is out there. Stop installing apps.

As you may have seen over and over on the walls of Facebook this last week people don’t know jack, they don’t investigate or think for themselves. They just copy and paste!
It’s what I call another FACEBOOK SHARE ZOMBIE ATTACK.
Here’s the total and utter garbage being shared about Facebook Privacy.

facebook privacy

Facebook is now a publicly traded entity. Unless you state otherwise, anyone can infringe on your right to privacy once you post to this site. It is recommended that you and other members post a similar notice as this, or you may copy and paste this version. If you do not post such a statement once, then you are indirectly allowing public use of items such as your photos and the information contained in your status updates.
PRIVACY NOTICE: Warning – any person and/or institution and/or Agent and/or Agency of any governmental structure including but not limited to the United States Federal Government also using or monitoring/using this website or any of its associated websites, you do NOT have my permission to utilize any of my profile information nor any of the content contained herein including, but not limited to my photos, and/or the comments made about my photos or any other “picture” art posted on my profile.
You are hereby notified that you are strictly prohibited from disclosing, copying, distributing, disseminating, or taking any other action against me with regard to this profile and the contents herein. The foregoing prohibitions also apply to your employee , agent , student or any personnel under your direction or control.
The contents of this profile are private and legally privileged and confidential information, and the violation of my personal privacy is punishable by law. UCC 1-103 1-308 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED WITHOUT PREJUDICE

First of all, PUBLIC ENTITY means STOCKS. That has nothing to do with the privacy side of the site. Facebook has been destroying your privacy since the day you hit “I Agree” to the user terms.
You can not just go modifying USER AGREEMENTS to your liking. What good would they be?

If you’re serious about your privacy and worried about others using your information, photos, etc then you’re going to need to uninstall all games and apps. You click I agree when you install them and those are not even Facebook. They are 3rd party companies that you’re letting wreak havoc on your privacy. Most of them also jeopardize your friends privacy as well because you give them permission to your friends list and feeds.

Another thing is STOP adding people you don’t know. Don’t accept any friend request from strangers. Especially these people who you have 60+ mutual friends with, yet not a single person knows them. You’re killing me smalls! Why on earth would you do that?

And what’s really important is make all of your post FRIENDS ONLY. Friends of friends might as well give your information out to the world. Your friends accept anyone obviously and you have tons of unknown shadowy characters with full access to everything you post. Really, clear your list and make everything friends only.

And LIKEing random corporations? REALLY? Facebook is telling me you like Gillete, Miller, Nabisco, Amazon, Fox, etc.
Why would you want them to have your information? You should only like your friends pages. Not pointless likes.
And they use all that data to figure out who you are. When you like a public figures photo such as George Takei you are giving Facebook information on you.
Read this article and be surprised.

Many of us have installed the app on our phones. But did you know what else they are accessing?

Here’s another version of the ridiculous junk going around Facebook.

“In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, professional photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention). For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times. (Anyone reading this can copy this text and paste it on their Facebook Wall. This will place them under protection of copyright laws. By the present communiqué, I notify Facebook that it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, disseminate, or take any other action against me on the basis of this profile and/or its contents. The aforementioned prohibited actions also apply to employees, students, agents and/or any staff under Facebook’s direction or control. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of my privacy is punished by law (UCC 1 1-308-308 1-103 and the Rome Statute). Facebook is now an open capital entity. All members are recommended to publish a notice like this, or if you prefer, you may copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once, you will be tacitly allowing the use of elements such as your photos as well as the information contained in your profile status updates…”

So in conclusion, stop being a Facebook Share Zombie. Think for yourself.
